US likely to see US$200 5G devices this year: Counterpoint
The prices of 5G devices in the US are likely to drop as low as US$200 (A$257) this year, the technology analyst firm Counterpoint Research says, adding that this could come about due to the expanding coverage and OEMs looking to meet demand at different prices.

TCL announces first self-branded smartphones; one 5G model
TCL Communication, better known for its range of cheap television sets, has announced its first lot of self-branded smartphones, the TCL 10 series, all of which are priced under US$500. The devices will be available for sale later this year, with availability dates to be announced over the next few weeks. Two of the models will be sold in Australia.
